Gang Green in search of redemption at LP Field in physical matchup

The Jets haven't been shy about letting Smith throw the ball downfield. He leads the NFL with nine passes of 20 or more yards. Griffin had two of the Titans' four interceptions off Mark Sanchez last season, and with seven turnovers in three games, Smith is going to have to be aware of him. Griffin is a savvy center fielder who will be trying to bait the rookie into unwise throws in the face of the Titans' blitz. The Titans play a lot of man coverage and that allows Griffin to pick his spots.

"Milliner's injury is important because the Titans like to go three wides and have been getting good production out of the slot from Kendall Wright . Locker's accuracy has improved this year. He hasn't turned the ball over yet and that last drive (to beat San Diego last week) has to be a confidence builder. The Jets can't let him out of the pocket. He's still probably more dangerous as a runner. Bilal Powell has been a surprise, especially how he breaks tackles as a smaller back. The Titans are pretty good tacklers, though, and they look to gain a physical edge up front. Gregg Williams is no mystery as a defensive coordinator. He is going to blitz off the bus, at least half the time. The Jets did a good job of picking it up last week."

These are two teams with the same mindset. Each has proven some doubters wrong over the first three weeks. It's also a symbolic trip back to LP Field for the Jets, who fell completely apart in a Week 15 loss there last season with Mark Sanchez's four INT performance getting him benched. One key to this game could be penalties. After drawing 20 flags last week, the Jets are the most penalized team in the league, with the Titans not far behind at No. 3. Road games, though, are hard enough without committing dumb penalties.
